PLEASE READ ALL POLICIES CAREFULLY PRIOR TO BOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENT
1. About Us
Tiffany Dawn’s focus is on the wellness of your hair. Our mission is to become an active and influential pillar of the community by establishing ourselves as a reputable resource for hair health, styling, and education. Our salon prides itself on establishing an environment of comradery and ensuring your personal experience of feeling comfortable. Clients leave Tiffany Dawn looking great and feeling better than when they arrived. In addition to providing salon services, our team is prepared to share our expertise by hosting events and/or providing keynote messages on the importance of hair wellness at your local school, corporate seminar or event.
2. Services
*Note: “Tips” in services are simply suggestions and Tiffany Dawn does not assume any liability or dissatisfaction if you choose to go with suggestions.
3. Payment
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date and time upon booking. Deposit will be credited towards your service. Please provide us with a photo of your desired style via email info@tiffanydawn.ca
4. Cancellation
Unforeseen circumstances may arise that renders the client’s incapable of meeting their appointment. Should client wish to cancel, they must do so at least 48 hours before the appointment. Phone call, text message and voicemail are all acceptable methods to cancel. Failure to send notice of cancellation before the required deadline will result in loss of deposit. Client may also be prohibited from any further bookings. Appointments will be considered cancelled if client arrives more than 29 minutes late.
5. Refunds
Tiffany Dawn does not offer refunds. In the unfortunate events that a client is not satisfied with the services rendered by Tiffany Dawn, the concern must be raised with Head Stylist within 24 hours of the completion of the service.
6. Emergency Appointments
For emergency appointments or appointments before/after hours, please call our business line. Additional fees up to $100 may apply.
7. Consultations
You MUST schedule a consultation prior to booking an appointment should any 1 or more of the 3 items listed below apply:
- Less than 3 inches of hair length
- Alopecia
- Thin edges
Consulting services are an extra fee. If you book an appointment without booking a consultation additional fees may apply.
8. Beginner Clientele
Children must be 5+ years of age. They must be able to sit for the entire duration of the desired style. IPads, books, and other items to keep them entertained are permitted. Parent must be present for the entire service.
9. Hair Conditions
BRAIDS, EXTENSIONS, LOCS:
- Please arrive with your hair thoroughly cleansed. Hair must be freshly shampooed with no product including leave in condition/detangle/heat protectant or oil. It must be fully detangled and blow dried straight (excluding loc maintenance). Should hair need to be washed upon arrival, the cost of a wash and go will be added on to the total price of service.
- You are required to bring 42-54 inch, pre-stretch braiding hair for braided styles.
- If you are re-using bundles that have been previously installed, please be sure they are clean and dry. Failure to comply could result in the cancellation of service and loss of deposit.
- Your hair must be at least 4 inches in length or longer.
- Please be sure to let the stylist know if you have any hair issues or concerns during your consultation.
- Additional charges are applied for thicker tresses.
10. Gifts and Gratuities
Tiffany Dawn has an established policy related to accepting gifts, gratuities and rewards from customers. Gifts offered staff may be in the form of money, food or vouchers. The purpose of this policy is to safeguard Tiffany Dawn and its workers from misconduct, apparent or implied impropriety from customers, and higher than normal customer expectation to go above and beyond based on the gift-giving relationship.
- Staff must not accept gifts that require them to meet up with the client off the premises and/or outside of working hours (ex. Invitation to have a meal at a restaurant).
- Upon offer of a gift prohibited by the gift policy, staff must notify the client/gift giver of the company’s gift policy and graciously decline or return the item.
- Handmade items from children are acceptable; the parents must be made aware of such gifts.
11. Hours of Work
Tiffany Dawn’s regular business hours are listed below. Additional charges will be applied for service requests outside of our operating hours.
Monday – 8:00am – 8:00pm
Tuesday – 8:00am – 8:00pm
Wednesday – Closed
Thursday – 8:00am – 8:00pm
Friday – 8:00am-4:00pm
Saturday – Closed
Sunday – 10:00am-4:00pm
12. Statutory Holidays
The province of Ontario has twelve (12) public holidays. They are:
New Year’s Day
Family Day
Good Friday
Easter Monday
Victoria Day
Canada Day
Civic Holiday
Labour Day
Thanksgiving Day
Remembrance Day
Christmas Day
Boxing Day
Tiffany Dawn honours time off on statutory holidays.
13. Alcohol, drugs, and tobacco
Any person under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol will not be permitted and service will be considered cancelled.
14. Parking
Clients are permitted to park in the driveway or on the right side of the house only. Tiffany Dawn is not responsible for any parking infractions acquired during time of service.
15. Extra Guests
Extra guests are not allowed during service unless accompanying a child or individuals in need of assistance.
